The Gala Celebration was part of this historic gathering of 75 women heads of state and government and other high-level leaders from across the globe who worked together to tackle the world’s most pressing security issues at the International Women Leaders Global Security Summit on November 15th-17th. This unprecedented Summit included at least ten current and former heads of state and government, as well as high-level government officials and leaders from international organizations.

This historic gathering anticipates several major outcomes:

• the launch of a women’s diplomacy force on acute crises and critical trends affecting human and state security, such as Darfur and climate change;

• the endorsement of a call to action for women leaders on global security;

• the worldwide premiere of a documentary film on women’s leadership and security that will inspire the global community.
